Idea Forge — Early Access

Because staring at a blank page is the worst part of being a developer.

Idea Forge is a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) AI pipeline tool designed specifically for solo developers, writers, and creators. It’s the tool you use *before* you open your game engine or IDE.

Instead of wrestling with generic ChatGPT prompts, Idea Forge walks your raw idea through a structured, multi-stage pipeline, turning a one-sentence spark into a fully realized architecture plan that you can actually build.

Version 0.1.0 (Early Access)

I am a solo dev, and this is my very first public app launch! Idea Forge is currently in **Early Access**. The core "Document Pipeline" is built and fully functional, but there is much more to come.

I'm releasing it as Pay-What-You-Want (100% Free to use) because I desperately want your feedback. Use the 💬 button in the app to report bugs or tell me what features you want next!

What it does right now (Phase 1 Complete):

*   Generate Concepts: Throw a "vibe" or a core mechanic at the AI, and watch it generate game/app concepts.

*   The AI Pipeline: Take a unified concept and run it through the Forge. The AI uses the context of the previous step to write the next one:

    1.  Blueprint: Generates your full Game Design Document (GDD) or Product Requirements Doc (PRD).

    2.  Slice Spec: Scopes down the GDD into a testable Vertical Slice / MVP.

    3.  Architecture: Recommends the tech stack and file structure.

    4.  Sprint Tasks: Breaks everything down into a step-by-step Kanban list.

*   Bring Your Own Key: Idea Forge natively supports Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and xAI (Grok). Because you supply your own API key, there are no subscriptions or hidden limits. Your keys are saved locally and never sent to a database.

*   Cross-Device Sync: Optional cloud sync lets you capture a spark on your phone (PWA) and run it through the pipeline on your desktop.

What's Coming Next (The Roadmap):

*   Phase 2: The Coding Package (In Progress) — The ability to click "Export" and get a full `.zip` file containing your codebase structure, `CLAUDE.md` rules, and project context, ready to be dropped straight into Cursor or Windsurf.
*   Phase 3: Prototype Generator — Single-file `HTML/JS` playground to test mechanics instantly.

*   Gamification — Developer Ranks, XP tracking, and Streaks to fight solo-dev burnout.

How to use:

*   Download the Windows executable below, or run the web version (PWA) on your phone.

*   Grab an API key from Anthropic or Google (Gemini is notoriously generous with free tiers).

*   Start forging!
